When we stayed in Corfu for 4 days, our work was calling. Although traveling around as a digital nomad is nice, sometimes having to work when you want to enjoy your holiday can be misfortunate. After looking for a bit, we found Silicon Urban Coworking near the Old Town of Corfu. Although this coworking space is a bit hidden, it is pretty big. We decided to get a half-day pass and try this coworking out. This is my Silicon Urban Ecosystem Corfu Review.

What is Silicon Urban Ecosystem Coworking?

Silicon Urban Ecosystem is not just your typical coworking space. The space also hosts events, webinars, and even education. Furthermore, Silicon Urban Ecosystem coworking can also be used as a recruiting service and has its job board. Not only that, but the Silicon Urban Ecosystem in Corfu also has master’s programs and subsidized programs. As I said, it is way more than just a coworking space. So whether you want to give classes or use a meeting room in Corfu, Silicon Urban Ecosystem has everything you need.

Costs

How much everything costs is a bit unclear on the website, which is a disadvantage. We paid €10 per person for a half-day pass when we went. When you go for a full day at this coworking space, you pay €20. You can choose between a hot desk and meeting rooms to do your work. Also, for people who want to stay longer in Greece or want to open a company in Greece, there are more than enough options. You can use this coworking space to open your tax residence in Greece or to get your own private office. Although I couldn’t find the prices for everything quickly, the half-day or day pass costs seemed reasonable.

Desks

We were in Corfu in the off-season, so more than enough desks were available. You can pick between desks in multiple spaces. There are desks close to the kitchen, in a private area called “class 1” and “class 2,” and a couple of desks close to the reception area. If you need to make a call, you can also fill out your name and use one of the silent booths to make your call or meeting there.

WiFi Speed

When we stayed at different hotels and city apartments in Greece, we had a lot of issues with the wifi. We mostly used our mobile data to get the internet speed we wanted. Either the ping was incredibly high, or the internet speed was slow. Luckily, Silicon Urban Ecosystem had Starlink internet, with a download speed of 296 Mb per second and an upload speed of almost 25 MB per second; it was the best Wifi we had while in Corfu. You can check it out in the image I made of the internet speed down below.

Amenities

Although it is just a coworking space, it did have quite some amenities. There was a nice room to lunch in, fresh water, and a vending machine to get your snacks throughout the day. Furthermore, you can also do your dishes when you take your lunch to this coworking space in Corfu. Although the amenities are not ultra-luxurious, they had everything we needed for one day at this coworking space.

Outside space

Even when you love working and work very hard, taking a break and breathing fresh air is sometimes nice, especially when a place is as warm as Corfu. Luckily, the coworking space has a little outdoor area on a patio. The patio has multiple chairs and an ashtray if you desperately need a cigarette break. Although the outside space is not that big, it has enough for you to stay here for 10 minutes on a little break.

Location of Silicon Urban Ecosystem Coworking in Corfu

Silicon Urban Coworking’s location is excellent. Although it is not directly located in the old town of Corfu, it is just outside of it. It is still easy to reach if you stay in the center of Corfu, which most people who spend a couple of days here will do. Because it is not directly placed in the center, it also doesn’t have many distractions, and not many people can pass by. This makes it easier for you to focus on your work instead of getting distracted by the millions of tourists who come here yearly.

Eating and Drinks at Silicon Coworking in Corfu

Although the Silicon Urban Ecosystem Coworking in Corfu has some food and a vending machine, it is not a place to have lunch. However, don’t let that stop you from going to this coworking in Corfu. Surrounding it are many nice spots to get a tasty cappuccino or eat a sandwich. If you don’t have time to go outside to get your coffee, there is also free coffee in the coworking.

Complete review of Silicon Urban Ecosystem Coworking in Corfu

Overall, the Urban Ecosystem Coworking in Corfu is a fantastic facility. There is enough space, the internet is good, and the location might be even better. The staff at this coworking space is also quite helpful and speaks good English. You can have lunch at the coworking or one of the many coffee shops and brunch places surrounding it. The only thing I liked less was the heat, as I work better in a colder area, and the air conditioning was 25 degrees Celsius, or 77 degrees Fahrenheit. But overall, as you can see from this Silicon Urban Ecosystem Coworking in Corfu review, I think it is an excellent coworking to go to if you are in Corfu.
